RAD Students Win Undergraduate Research Awards!


The RAD lab is excited to announce that two students from our team were recognized at this year’s Student Leadership Awards for their work with the RAD lab.

BME junior George Elias won the Outstanding Student Researcher award.

BME senior Katie Vaiciulis won the award for “Best Undergraduate Poster” at the 2023 UI College of Engineering Research Open House. The winning poster is titled “The Effect of Ankle Center of Rotation Location on Ankle-Foot Orthosis Stiffness”. The work was performed in collaboration with Prof. Rachel Vitali.
