Marissa is co-advised by Prof. Deema Totah (RAD Lab) and Prof. Caterina Lamuta (SMMS Lab).

Her M.S. committee also included Prof. Tae-Hong Lim and Prof. Jacob Herrmann from the Department of Biomedical Engineering.

Her thesis is titled "Design and Characterization of a Variable-Stiffness Ankle-Foot Orthosis Powered by Twisted and Coiled Artificial Muscles".
